Arabic search volume in the GCC is growing at roughly 2× the rate of English. Saudi Arabia alone has 35 million Arabic-speaking internet users. Yet most digital agencies in Dubai serve only English-speaking audiences — even for clients who want to reach GCC nationals.
The Three Mistakes That Kill Arabic SEO
1. Machine translation. Running English copy through Google Translate and calling it Arabic content. Search engines and human readers can both detect this. It destroys trust and has near-zero SEO value.
2. Missing technical RTL setup. Arabic is right-to-left. A website that flips direction incorrectly — or doesn’t at all — signals poor quality to Arabic readers and they bounce within seconds. High bounce rate signals low relevance to Google.
3. Ignoring KSA keyword differences. UAE Arabic and Saudi Arabic differ in dialect, phrasing, and search behaviour. A KSA campaign that uses UAE Arabic terms will underperform significantly.
What Good Arabic SEO Looks Like
Transcreated content (same intent, native Arabic phrasing), proper RTL implementation, hreflang tags, and keyword research done in-market. When we apply this for clients, Arabic organic traffic typically starts converting within 90 days.
